A new bathhouse with an attached concession stand building was constructed for the existing Oberlin College track and field. A new masonry frame was constructed for the aluminum grandstands with press box at the existing track. Oberlin College also added four 110'+ track and field light poles, so they could light up the entire track and field area to exceed the NCAA lighting standards. |

CWRU - Art Education Building Reno., Cleveland, OH back to top

The existing Green House restaurant on the edge of Little Italy was renovated into the Art Studio for CWRU. An elevator was installed for access to the basement, 1st and 2nd floors, along with new steel and wood stair. The existing 2nd floor was used as apartments, but was renovated into classrooms by removing interior walls and supporting the roof system with new heavy wood beams and posts. The existing bar and restaurant area was transformed into the new art gallery. The existing basement was transformed into photo darkrooms and areas for pottery kilns. All plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems were upgraded to meet the demands of this unique renovation. |

Two story 27,350 SF structural steel and load bearing masonry building with auger pile foundation system. The building exterior is brick masonry with precast accents complimented by a 62 foot masonry tower and colonnade walkway. The facility includes classrooms, full service kitchen and café area, bookstore, sate of the art video learning centers, and 2-story student gathering area. The gathering area is accented by its exposed laminated wood truss roof system, masonry veneer, precast, and 10 foot diameter stained glass window. |
