Kindred Hospital purchased the Benjamin Rose nursing home facility and transformed the building into a multi-level extended care facility. A new medical gas platform with exterior storage tanks was constructed, and new medical gas headwalls were added to all rooms. The bathrooms were renovated to become ADA compliant along with all electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems. The generator was upgraded to allow the building to run on 100% generator power if needed. New flooring, nurse stations, and nurse call system was installed on each floor. Kindred also add an onsite pharmacy, and dialysis center for patient use. |

The 5th floor renovation had all flooring, walls, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems removed and replaced for long term mental health patients. Each patient room received new heat welded vinyl floors, new ADA compliant bathrooms, new electrical systems and new HVAC equipment. All exterior windows were covered with security screens for patient safety. The entire floor was alarmed at the nurse station, which was also protected by security glass for patient safety. All work was completed while patients were on the floor below, which made all mechanical and electrical system installations challenging. |

Parkside Villa Skilled Nursing Facility, Westlake, OH back to top

New construction of a 69,500 SF - 100 bed skilled nursing facility complete with full commercial kitchen, recreation area and laundry services. This facility was built to accommodate a future expansion so all utilities were planed and installed accordingly. The structure was steel frame on auger cast piling. The roof structure was wood trusses with shingles and the roof over the kitchen was lightweight concrete on metal deck with a rubber membrane which aided in achieving the desired fire rating of the kitchen. The site was extremely large and consisted of all earthwork, utilities and pavement for the future addition. |
