Rocky River Public Library, Rocky River, OH       back to top

Description:

Renovation and addition to the existing library.  Rocky River library has had 5 previous additions so changing the use of certain spaces was an issue with HVAC system.  This building had 5 different systems which were all integrated into one automated building control system.  All areas of the facility were renovated and the main entrance was closed for the addition of the new main entrance.  All work was performed in phases developed by Infinity and were executed as planned.  Over the 1 year project the library was closed for only 1 day which was planned to relocated materials which could not be completed overnight.  Infinity coordinated 10 prime contractors as well as several owner vendors which performed library specific work.  As the Construction Manager Infinity coordinated all field work, engineering and cost accounting not only for construction but all project costs for the library.

Cuyahoga Heights Police Station, Cuyahoga Heights, OH       back to top

Description:

New construction of a 2 story police station with a full basement.  This building was built on a spot behind the existing police facility which remained in full operation until the new facility was opened.  The new facility was located just 5 feet behind the existing building and 8 feet from the adjacent property lines.  Coordination with neighbors was critical to this project.  Infinity as the general contractor assisted the owner in coordinating and designing the communications for this facility including, building access and control, radio communications, 911 system as well as phone, data and networks.  This coordination involved approximately 10 different vendors or utilities.  A 70' radio tower was installed on the property also.  The facility was a 12 day holding facility which included individual jail cells, holding cells as well as control centers.  This facility is the 911 dispatch for 6 cities.  Operation of the system was critical.

Bedford Heights Jail Expansion, Bedford Heights, OH       back to top

Description:

Bedford Heights Jail added a second floor on top of the existing building while the first floor was occupied by prisoners.  This made working below challenging, because all roof penetrations had to be checked each day, so that prisoners could not escape.  The existing HVAC system had to be removed during the winter, so the new 2nd floor concrete deck could be poured and walls built.  Temporary heaters were used to heat the jail area below while the second floor was completed and the new HVAC system was installed on the new 2nd floor roof.
