Infinity is serving as Construction Manager At-Risk for this new 1-story pet hotel. The scope includes kennels, pet grooming and training facilities, an outdoor play area, 40 spaces of outdoor parking, extensive fenced outdoor play yards and a new retention pond.
Although the Owner performed soils testing prior to the start of construction, after site clearing, excavation revealed unknown basement and foundations of three homes, which had to be removed, and then required the important of engineered fill. During preconstruction, facing a 6-month delay for steel bar joists, the Owner accepted our constructability recommendation to use readily available beams as an alternate. Infinity self-performed rough and finish carpentry, drywall and metal studs, architectural millwork and doors and hardware. Due to the long-lead time for electrical service equipment, the project will be completed on time, but cannot secure its occupancy permit until permanent power is activated.
