Behavioral Health Renovations

Project details

A very complex and micro-phased patient room renovation on the 4th floor Medical Surgery Psychiatric Unit. Work includes gut demolition and renovation including replacement of exterior windows with built-in blinds. Interior fit-out includes impact resistant sheet wall protection, anti-pick adhesives and caulking, new anti-ligature FF&E including windows, doors, grilles, sink, toilet, shower, lighting fixtures, hooks and shelves, Plexiglas and stainless -steel mirrors, breakaway curtain rods and television enclosures. New space will feature a reception are, nurse station, 9 patient rooms, a staff break and locker room, offices, and medication stations. Third floor work involves removal of ceiling off-shift in order to complete plumbing work to support the new 4th floor build-out.

Three construction companies worked side-by-side in this floor that is now vacant on three separate projects. This required close coordination to schedule material deliveries and waste removal. We completed off-hours work for construction outside of patient rooms such as HVAC, MEP and fire protection services. Achieved 67% diverse subcontracting participation.
